As you can guess form my username, I am living and working in Tokyo. In fact, I have been working and living in Japan for about 15 years. I have a Masters in International Business from the American Graduate School of International Management, and am working as the Head of Corporate Services (e.g. support functions such as Reception, Printroom, Mailroom, Security, etc.) for a British investment bank. I am originally from Ohio in the U.S. I started managing people from 2001 when I worked for a different company. I made a lot of mistakes on the way that I have learned from, but I sure could have used MT back then to avoid making the mistakes! Tony

Tony,

I would be interested in hearing some of the cultural differences to management in Japan vs. the US.

I look forward to reading your posts!
